Getting a job today pretty much requires previous work experience. The biggest hurdle for most college grads is finding that first job without much of a work history. Some people try to develop experience themselves, finding ways that they can spend their free time learning and practicing their skills in a way that will make them more appealing on paper. A second method people are using is to just lie and hope they don’t get caught.
As a potential customer, I think the only reasons I’d follow a business’ twitter feed would be if it was really funny or they gave away free stuff. Aside from those two things, it’s just an opportunity to make a mistake or piss someone off.
